27 Things About Me (On My 27th Birthday)

I tend to be much more of a listener than a talker in real life, but in the interest of letting you all get to know me a little better, I thought I’d share some random facts about myself. 1. Happy birthdyay! We definitely have a few things in common.

I had a pet cat Smokey too. Ended up getting a urinary tract infection and wouldn’t use the litter box so my family had to give him away. He was the best other than his errant peeing.

Socks really are the best. I once had a dream that I would have a new pair of socks every day (even if they were Hanes). This has become uneconomical though.

And finally, I actually sold a Lilly Pulitzer skirt with monkeys on it. Like this (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lilly-Pulitzer-Size-6-beige-skirt-scalloped-hem-with-pink-embroidered-monkey-/261674631166?pt=US_CSA_WC_Skirts&hash=item3ced05fffe&nma=true&si=Gd7P1viwYDqqcyIMtPNohajgYp0%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557) but navy with green monkeys. It was NWT and I sold it for $50. Then it got returned. Then I sold it again! True story.

  2. My daughter joined Alpha Delta Pi sorority this fall! I converted to Catholicism just like you. Also, I had a cat named Smokey when I was little. I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

  3. Happy Belated Birthday Erica! So is your hubby Catholic? That why you converted? Love this idea..I might try it this month for my 40th (if I can come up with that many things..LOL)

    • He is! (He converted in 2007.) That definitely played a role, but I think it was more about the great Catholic community I got involved with in college, with a really holy priest. I just love all the ancient traditions of the faith–I will never get tired of the 2,000 years worth of writings, art, thought, etc!
